Teen Youth Program Is Back In Session

Woodlawn Co is proud to announce the return of our Teen Youth Program. As many of you may know we had to take a long extended break from any group gatherings or planned activities due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Now with things a little more in control we are happy to welcome back all teens who would like to connect with others through faith-building & team activities. With the downtime caused by the pandemic, we took the opportunity to revamp our teen youth program, group transportation & more! Join our incredible group of returning teens & any newcomers that look to connect with Jesus & their peers.

Transportation Transformation

With the help of an incredible local vehicle wrap artist, we were able to vinyl wrap our two Woodlawn CO vans we utilize for teen transportation to camps, activities, meet-ups & more. Visiting Orange County ceramic coating expert Chris, applied a ceramic coating to both vans to ensure protection & ease of maintenance. Well-maintained vehicles mean safe vehicles for all of those who utilize Woodlawn Co transportation!

New Activities

We have also introduced new activities to ensure we engage all age levels within our program. Currently, our teen youth program is set up for both boys & girls in grades 6-12. We further segment the group of teens into two groups, 6th thru 8th grade & 9th thru 12th grades. This ensures age-appropriate activities and peers connection across all groups. Our activities range from outdoor fun with team building activities to bible study & more.

Youth Leaders

Our Youth group leaders are not only members of our church but also have been involved in our teen youth programs throughout high school & are now young adults. They all look to guide and set examples for the many youths involved in our church just like their past mentors once did.

Virtual Hangouts

The pandemic has taught us a lot about how easy it is to take for granted in-person human contact & communication. During the lockdown and the worst of times limited social activity contributed to an enormous amount of teens, young adults & even fully grown adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and other mental health-related issues. By establishing virtual hangouts we hope to provide an avenue of communication and contact to allow teens to connect with their peers & still feel a connection to others when meeting in person is not an option.

These are just some of the many improvements we have made to our teen youth program. We hope to encourage teens from all around to join our church and become a part of our teen youth group family. Stop by and visit our church or call for more information. We would love to welcome you to the Woodlawn CO church family.
